Images readily available on the Internet and/or provided by stock image licensing rights, whether free or premium in nature, compromise the bulk of copyright protected content we display. These sources of these images include, but are not limited to, general search engines, public domain sources and stock imagery sites.
Increasingly, we anticipate user generated content and images will play a more prominent role in our user experience and delivery of our platform, products and services.
"LOCAL" AS A CALLING CARD
Corporate branding is the legal practice of assigning a company's name, mark, or trade to a product, service and/or legal entity. Using the word "local" in the name of our business is more than marketing. Local means much more than that to us.
We take local seriously. We invest there. And, we used it as a calling card for how we intend to advance our cause for generating growth in the communities we serve.
Our brand represents a symbol of local connections that uniquely identifies us a provider of information about protection solutions in the U.S. consumer market.
Regarding the legal aspects of our brand, by definition, LocalCity trademark and/or service marks on our platform, products and services are legally protected by virtue of our original use and by registration with the Patent and Trademark Office of the U.S. Department of Commerce.
LocalCityUS is proud to stand as a truly unique hyper-local search engine.
As a rule, price transparency that enbles users to easily obtain information, compare costs of different options and make informed decision is a good thing to promote.
To go further in explaining our efforts to serve the interests of people in local markets, our method of service means users and providers will also understand how prices are set, why they change and what value they represent, to avoid price discrimination, discrepencies and errors that lead to unwanted financial outcomes.
THE VALUE OF KNOWING
In technology, any sound purpose for operating a for-profit online business is related to "the value you add" to the user and provider. Whether the market is massive and broad, or narrow and niche in nature, people want to know what's in it for them.
The value of knowing more about users and providers, specifically their offerings and prices, is key to determining what this content means to you. Helping increase local market exposure greatly benefits all participants in communities across the US.
Our entire business is built on demonstrating real, measurable value to users and providers. By enabling people find the best deals, partners, products and services available, LocalCity helps inform you so you can save valuable time and money.
We go beyond delivering convenience, superior quality and/or clarity of local offerings. LocalCity works to uncover more value in local markets - everyday.
Our research determines many empirical studies have investigated how changes in price transparency have affected various markets.
Most of this evidence, largely relating to advertising restrictions and lower search costs on the Internet, suggests that price transparency leads to lower, more uniform prices. This view is consistent with the prevailing predictions of standard economic theory.
LocalCity seeks to expand "the comparative decision" people must consider across a broad spectrum of economic choices. We believe this is especially important in a local markets where people and assets are becoming more connected - everyday.
While admitting the Internet is not a common ground for lawlessness, LocalCity acknowledges there must be standard norms of good faith that users and providers should expect between themselves in their personal, professional and business dealings, interactions and transactions online.
